Slender ─ known to some players as Slenderman ─ is the primary antagonist of Stop it, Slender! 2. As Slender, your goal is simple: hunt down the Citizens before they collect all eight pages and activate all three generators. If a Citizen looks directly at Slender, their flashlight battery drains rapidly. Stare too long, and their battery will drain to zero in seconds.

Overview
Slender is the primary antagonist of Stop it, Slender! 2. As Slender, your objective is to eliminate all Citizens before they collect eight pages and activate three generators ─ and you have just 9 minutes and 45 seconds (or 7 minutes and 45 seconds during Classic Mode) to do it. You move slowly when visible, but can turn invisible to stalk your prey at higher speeds. Sometimes you'll have help from one or more Proxies, who assist in hunting down Citizens. Slender is a mandatory role alongside Citizen; without a Slender, the round cannot begin.
Abilities
๐ฎ Invisibility (Q)
Pressing Q makes Slender turn invisible. While invisible, your movement speed increases significantly, allowing you to stalk Citizens undetected. Press Q again to reappear as visible. However, being visible comes with a cost: your movement speed drops drastically, and if a Citizen looks directly at you, you become frozen in place ─ unable to move until they look away or you turn invisible again. With the related perk equipped, any Citizen who looks at Slender while he is visible becomes stunned, rendering them unable to use their stamina to run.

๐ป Silent Appearance (E)
Pressing E allows Slender to appear silently without the usual sound cue. Unlike the Q key, this ability cannot be used to turn invisible ─ it's purely a tool for surprise. Use it to materialize behind an unsuspecting Citizen, maximizing the psychological impact.
๐️ Grab (G)
When Slender is close to a Citizen, pressing G initiates a grab. Once grabbed:
- The Citizen's battery begins draining.
- The Citizen must click the "Break Free" icons that appear randomly on their screen to weaken the grab.
- Slender can spam the Spacebar to strengthen the grab. With the related perk equipped, this significantly increases grip strength, allowing you to hold onto the Citizen for a longer duration.
The grab ability has a cooldown, so choose your moments wisely. If the Citizen successfully escapes, the struggle bar empties and they break free. Simply walking into a Citizen also deals damage, though this is harder to execute since Citizens will usually flee.

⚡ Teleportation (T)
Pressing T activates Slender's teleportation ability. When used:
- All Citizens on your radar will appear with teleport icons when you hover your mouse on them.
- Selecting an icon instantly transports Slender to that Citizen's location.
- The teleport is accompanied by Slender's signature eerie sound, alerting nearby players ─ use this to your advantage to cause panic, or time it when they're already distracted.
Teleportation has a cooldown, but equipping the related perk can reduce it significantly, allowing for more frequent and aggressive repositioning.

Note: All controls are displayed on your screen during gameplay ─ you can find them on the bottom-middle and middle-left of the interface.
Combat
Mastering Slender takes practice, but these tips will give you an edge in the hunt.
๐ญ Master Your Appearances
Slender moves quickly while invisible, but there's a short delay before becoming visible with Q or E. Use this to your advantage: stalk behind a Citizen, build up speed, then jump toward them and press Q or E to appear. This technique makes grabbing easier and disorients Citizens who thought they were alone.
For subtle appearances, try flickering ─ briefly appear and disappear. This wastes the Citizen's battery and often makes them hug walls to keep their bearings. While they're focused on staying safe, walk up and use Grab for extra damage.

⚡ Generators Are Your Best Friend
Citizens will eventually come to generators. Use that predictability against them.
For Modern Generators, Citizens must hold E to activate them ─ leaving them completely vulnerable. Simply walk up and touch them for easy damage. If they switch to the other side of the generator, follow them. Just remember: damage only applies when you're touching them.
Due to the crank-turning animation on Modern Generators, the Citizen constantly looks up and down. When their head is angled downward during this animation, they are not looking at you ─ even if you're standing right in front of them ─ so you won't deal damage during those moments.
๐ป Use Silence to Your Advantage
If a Citizen hasn't seen you for several seconds, they'll assume you've moved on. That's when E (Silent Appearance) becomes deadly. Appear without the sound cue behind a Citizen who let their guard down. The surprise alone is often enough to make them panic.
๐ค Coordinate With Proxies
Proxies are annoying on their own ─ but with Slender backing them up, they become a nightmare.
When a Proxy is being flashed by Citizens, appear on the Proxy's side. This forces Citizens to look away, saving the Proxy from disappearing. It's especially useful when the Proxy has all their abilities on cooldown and needs a lifeline.
๐งญ Use the Environment
Corners and rooms are your best hiding spots. If you're certain a Citizen will walk toward a page or generator in that area, appear there. A subtle, unexpected appearance will make them look away and do a semi-circle to maintain their original path — buying you precious seconds to close the distance.
Pay attention to the map layout. Patrol areas with uncollected pages, especially when only a few remain. In open areas, Citizens can spot you by accident even from far away, so plan your route accordingly.
⚙️ Perks Are Always Active
One advantage Slender has: once you purchase a perk, it's always active during rounds ─ no need to select it beforehand. Invest in perks that strengthen your grab and stun Citizens when you appear. Every bit of advantage counts against experienced survivors.
Outfits
Slender comes with a variety of outfits that let you personalize your look while hunting Citizens. These are purely cosmetic ─ they won't give you an edge in gameplay ─ but they add style to your rounds. Outfits can be obtained through:
- Loot boxes ─ earned during daily tasks or purchased.
- Gamepasses ─ available in the in-game shop.
- Special events ─ limited-time opportunities.
Some outfits are rare and highly sought after by collectors. Whether you prefer the classic black suit or something more unusual, there's an outfit to match your hunting style.

Trivia
- Slender Anger System: Slender receives a damage buff if he lost over 60% of the previous 30 rounds, or a damage reduction if he's winning most rounds. Damage is also lowered if three or fewer Citizens start the round. Some maps grant Slender a buff by default. Citizens can spend 40 Robux via "Raise Anger!" to boost the meter for three rounds.
- Grab Ability History: The grab mechanic was removed during early development but brought back due to player demand. It originally worked differently ─ Slender pressed F and both players spammed keys to win the struggle.
- Keybind Evolution: Grab was moved from F to G to accommodate new mechanics. The escape mini-game now uses randomly placed icons, while older versions relied on shaking the mouse or mashing the Spacebar.
- Health Drain Changes: In earlier versions (pre-2018), looking at Slender as a Citizen drained health much faster ─ sometimes killing instantly. The drain was later reduced for balance.
- Night Vision: Slender, along with Proxy and Spectators, can see in the dark without a flashlight. Slender see everything with a reddish ambience.
- Triple Slender Mode: In this special mode, three Slenders hunt Citizens across a map with 15 pages. Citizens respawn but lose lives with each death.
